Correction to Enigma 786
THE puzzle 鈥淗andshakes鈥, by Henry P. Dart III, as printed in the 3 September issue of New 杏吧原创, lacks a key statement, namely, 鈥淭hat the age of the oldest person in the room was the same as the number of people in the room鈥. This then gives a unique solution to the puzzle that there were a total of 61 people in the room. The number of handshakes was 1830. The omission of the key sentence is regretted.
