FIVE more 鈥渃rystal ball鈥� reports were published by the British government this week as part of its Technology Foresight programme, which aims to identify technologies and markets vital to British industry over the next twenty years. The final five reports are due to appear next week.
The reports published this week cover information technology and electronics, communications, materials, food and drink, and manufacturing. The reports were prepared by panels of industrialists and academics. They include requests for the government to fund the information superhighway.
