James Perlman in his Science Without Limits (Prometheus Books, $29.95, ISBN 0 87975 962 3) gives us a guided tour to the splendid story of man鈥檚 constant curiosity and its achievements. The section on the strange world of 4-dimensional space-time is a marvellous job of explanation.
