HACKERS last week replaced NASA鈥檚 main Web page, http://www.nasa.gov,
with a diatribe against the commercialisation of the Internet. Tens of thousands
of people visit the site daily. Within 30 minutes, Brian Dunbar, the site鈥檚
manager, had closed it. NASA security experts spent 21 hours checking for other
damage, but found none.
The hackers claim to be from a group called HAGIS and have threatened to
attack 鈥渃orporate America鈥� for 鈥渕isuse of the Internet鈥�. 鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 clear what
they were complaining about,鈥�
says Dunbar.
