Don鈥檛 judge a notebook by its covers. Motorola is patenting a new kind of
鈥渆lectronic book鈥 (W0 97/22064 and 5). A notebook computer is dressed up in
leather covers to look like a real book. As the covers open, a touchscreen
lights up to display the text from a novel.
One advantage over a book, says Motorola, is that readers replace one word
with another, every time it occurs. 鈥淭he Russian names in a Tolstoy novel can be
extremely hard for an English speaking user to pronounce,鈥 says Motorola.
