Moon fleet

TWO more moons have been discovered orbiting Uranus, bringing the total to
17.

Astronomers from the US and Canada first saw the new moons on 6 September.
Only 80 and 160 kilometres across, they have elongated, tilted orbits, about 6
and 8 million kilometres from Uranus鈥攎uch farther than all the other
moons.

鈥淭hey were probably captured early in the history of the planet,鈥 says team
member Philip Nicholson of Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
