If you see a cyclist flying past it may be someone trying out the invention that Robert Sabin of Long Island, New York is patenting round the world (). He says that cyclists make bicycles inefficient. 鈥淭hey represent around 64 per cent of the aerodynamic drag,鈥 he gripes. Sabin cuts the drag with a tunic which clings tightly to the rider鈥檚 stomach and anchors two triangular wings which extend from the shoulder blades. The effect makes the cyclist look like Batman.
