A computer simulator that can display a chemical reaction in 3D has been
developed in Japan by a group led by NEC. The simulator calculates how
temperature and pressure affect molecules as the reaction progresses. 鈥淲e use
Newton鈥檚 equations to fix the motion of the nuclei and Schr枚dinger鈥檚
equations to understand the motion of electrons,鈥 says NEC鈥檚 senior researcher,
Toshikazu Takada.
