Kodak and Polaroid continue to leapfrog each other with plans for a digital
snapshot camera that provides instant prints. EP 848 540 and EP 848 541 free
Kodak from the need to use instant picture film sold by Polaroid. One of Kodak鈥檚
ideas is to clip a miniature colour ink-jet printer on the rear of the camera,
with a pack of blank sheets of plain paper. When the 鈥渃apture鈥 button is
pressed, tiny rollers move a sheet of paper past the colour ink jets to provide
a print within a few seconds.
