Japanese inventor Hikoshichi Takahashi is patenting a wind-powered generator which sits on top of a car or truck (). The device has either funnels or tubes, or both, which channel fast-moving air into a generator to produce electric power for the car. Excess power can be stored in the car’s battery. Unfortunately, Takahashi seems to think he can defy the laws of physics and get something for nothing: the energy generated will come at the expense of the extra aerodynamic drag caused by his roof-mounted apparatus.
