A genetic engineering method dubbed 鈥渢erminator technology鈥� that produces
plants with sterile seeds won鈥檛 be used by the world鈥檚 largest network of
agricultural research centres. At a meeting in Washington DC, the Consultative
Group on International Agricultural Research agreed that plant breeders in its
16 laboratories will not use 鈥渁ny genetic systems designed to prevent
