What the bleep do we know? A film directed by Betsy Chasse and Mark Vicente

WHAT the bleep was that about, I asked as the film ended. What the bleep do we know? purports to be a dramatised documentary about quantum theory, consciousness and reality. What I saw was a couple of hours of concentrated gobbledegook. Who, I wondered, are the 鈥淧hD scientists鈥 saying such daft things 鈥 incorrect or, to quote physicist Wolfgang Pauli, 鈥渘ot even wrong鈥?

The final credits provide the answer: they come from the Maharishi University of Management, the circle of one J. Z. Knight, who says she 鈥渃hannels鈥 a 35,000-year-old mystic named Ramtha, and so on. In the US, the film was apparently the 鈥渢hird highest grossing documentary of all time鈥. What a depressing thought. This film short-changes the public with drivel.
