Do we need another book on the conflict between reason and faith? Yes, if it is as well-written as Sam Harris鈥檚 The End of Faith (Free Press, 拢7.99). It鈥檚 an account of why he sees religions as a global problem. Harris has no problem with mystical experiences 鈥� they鈥檙e rational, he says 鈥� except for those that imply that all other mystical experiences are inferior, hence his distaste for religion.
