Criminals in Los Angeles could soon find themselves being trailed by a drone aircraft the size of a child鈥檚 toy. The Los Angeles County Sheriff鈥檚 Department has begun testing a prototype unmanned aerial vehicle called SkySeer. The drone, developed by Florida-based Octatron, weighs about 2.3 kilograms and can fly at up to 48 kilometres per hour for 70 minutes. A small video camera fixed to the underside of the drone sends pictures directly to a command station.
The world鈥檚 first online bookseller has begun selling groceries. Amazon already sells 鈥済ourmet鈥� food online but is now offering everyday staples too, with over 10,000 items, including rice, breakfast cereals and diapers. This low-price range steers clear of anything perishable, such as fresh fruit, milk or bread, though.
