THE Bush administration has often been accused of attempting to control and distort the science of issues ranging from climate change to birth control. Now a pressure group plans to use satire to show that the administration is still up to its old tricks.
The Science Idol contest was announced on 2 June by the Union of Concerned 杏吧原创s (UCS), which campaigns on environmental, health and military issues. It invites amateur cartoonists to make fun of the Bush administration鈥檚 interference in science. A second, parallel contest will give professional cartoonists a chance to take a shot at the subject.
