And you don鈥檛 need to be a believer in hereditary rule to be struck by the spectacle. Imagine you were an anthropologist from an alien culture. The pomp and circumstance of the union 鈥 the arcane ceremony, the cheering crowds, the extravagant dress 鈥 would be irresistibly fascinating.
