Yes, it鈥檚 good to talk. But it鈥檚 also good to listen, and that is just what New 杏吧原创 has been doing. At the end of last year, we asked what you wanted to see in this graduate special and, boy, did you tell us.

The overwhelming message was that you wanted information specific to your degree subject and we are happy to oblige. Skip to your subject and enjoy getting to grips with the facts and figures tailored to you. It鈥檚 packed full of advice from recruiters at top companies explaining exactly what they are looking for 鈥 another thing you requested 鈥 and ideas for how you can put your degree to good use, both on the frontline of science and beyond.

We have scoured the country for science-relevant graduate schemes so flick to page 8 for a comprehensive listing, including those all-important application deadlines. Or for those who don鈥檛 fancy working for a large company, on page 3 we look at the tactics to employ when applying to small businesses.

Once you have got the serious stuff out of the way, turn to page 10 for the answers to all those niggling questions keeping you awake at night, from 鈥渟hould I try to disguise the gaps in my CV?鈥 to what to do if you feel you haven鈥檛 made the grade. It鈥檚 the first step to a peaceful night鈥檚 sleep.
