Allow me to add my theory that mosquitoes have learned to teleport under
immediate threat of death.

Who has not tried to kill a mosquito on their arm and found no carcass
after what appeared to be a fatal blow? What worries me more is that some
smart mosquitoes seem to have learned to leave a suitably squashed carcass
behind and then reassemble another body elsewhere in the room, which is
then ready to buzz you right at the point of sleeping. How can we win against
such tactics?
