Giza the black leopard. A British wildlife photographer has captured stunning images of a rare black leopard. Andy Rouse was guiding in Kenya when he spotted the distinctive big cat Giza, a mother living in the Laikipia region. He said: "This is seven-year-old black female leopard called Giza. She's very famous as she's so bold and beautiful, and lives in the Laikipia Wildlife Conservancy. It's been an ambition of mine for several years to photograph her for my forthcoming leopard project, and wow what an experience it was. She took my breath away the first time I saw her, probably the most beautiful cat I have ever seen and I have seen a lot."
